IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy

DESCRIPTION

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy consists of two components. It provides an easy to clean and attractive protective coating for cementitious or asphalt sub-surfaces.

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy is applied mostly for walls and floors in warehouses, garages, light industrial areas, food processing and pharmaceutical production areas where only foot traffic and light vehicles are expected.

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy are weighed and packaged at the factory to be used readily at the construction site.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy is resistant against alkalies, dilute acids and to the common detergents used for cleaning.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

· SURFACE PREPARATION

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy is applied on a concrete surface, which must be structurally sound and be free from any loose particles, dirt, soil, oil, laitance and any other foreign materials. Cracked or damaged concrete must be repaired prior to the application. New concrete must be at least 7-days old and asphalt substrate must be at least 3 months old.

· MIXING

If possible mix IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy mechanically, with mixers running at less than 400 rpm if possible, to avoid trapping air in the material.

· APPLICATION

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy substrate to be applied must be slightly damp. Except those two components supplied, no other material should be added.

At first, stir the two components thoroughly, then pour the hardener into the resin and mix until a uniform color is achieved. Dilute the resin mix with water up to 15% for the first coat. Apply the second coat without dilution. It is important to apply the material always in stated coating period. Beyond this time no changes would be observed but the adhesion and gloss of the coating might be affected.

IZOMET^Ò Water Based Epoxy thickness should not exceed 200 microns.

CONSUMPTION

Izomet^Ò Water Based Epoxy is supplied in 2.5kg pre-weighed packages, which covers approximately 16 square meters in a single coat.

STORAGE

All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures and humidity conditions.

CAUTION

Uncured epoxy resin kept away from mouth, eyes, food or drink.

Empty tins must not be used even cleaned by suitable methods.

During application or handling uncured epoxy resins, wear gloves or barrier creams.

In case of contact with skin immediately clean with warm water and soap.

Avoid inhaling vapor.

Do not use below 5°C.

No other materials should be added.
