INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

·       SURFACE PREPARATION

Concrete or cement substrates should be 28 days old and moisture content of substrate should be less than 5% at least. All latience and loose materials must be removed from the concrete surface.

Cracked or damaged substrate should be repaired with Izomet® Repair Mortar before application. Then all dust and debris should be removed. Oil or grease contaminated surfaces should be cleaned by a suitable detergent.

·       MIXING COMPONENTS

If possible mix all the components with a mixer running at less than 400 rpm to avoid trapping air in mixture. For mixing mortar use forced action mixer. Do not use fall mixers.

·       PRIMING

Only IZOMET® Industrial Mortar Primer used for priming. Mix resin and hardener until a uniform consistency is achieved. Apply with stiff brushes or rollers and the layer must be like thin continuous film. Highly porous substrates may require two coats of priming.

·       LAYING THE SCREED

IZOMETÒ Industrial Mortar Screed is supplied in pre-weighed packs in exact proportions.

Mix resin and hardener until a uniform consistency is achieved. Then add aggregate slowly and continue to mix at least 5 seconds with mechanical mixer.

To determine the thickness of the mortar layer make buttons. After mixing pour the screed over the wet primer layer and spread with a spiked board and set the thickness with the help of buttons. Then compact by machine or hand trowel.

·       SEALCOAT

Only use IZOMET® Industrial Mortar Sealcoat to seal porous surface. Spread with normal steel trowel. Be sure that all excess resin removed from surface. Apply material to surface that reached initial hardness as two layers and use approximately 0,4 kg/m² for first layer and 0,2 kg/m² for second layer.

    CURING

After application foot traffic must be prohibited until reaching initial hardness. Heavy traffic and chemicals should not be allowed before full cure (7 days).

    CLEANING DOWN

After application all hand tools and other surfaces effected from uncured epoxy resin should clean with Izomet® Cleaning fluid.

    COVERAGE

IZOMET® Industrial Mortar Primer (5 kg pack)           : Covers 15 m²

IZOMET® Industrial Mortar Screed (32 kg pack)                  : Covers 3 m² approximately.

IZOMET® Industrial Mortar Sealcoat (2,5 kg pack)              : Covers 4 m²

    STORAGE
