Polymer Modified Cement Based Primer

DESCRIPTION

IZOMET^Ò Hold is a polymer modified cement based primer, used to provide the adherence of substrate to the repair mortar. By its high elasticity and adhesion ability, IZOMET^Ò Hold creates very strong bonds.

IZOMET^Ò Hold can be applied to all concrete surfaces where IZOMET^Ò BRM polymer modified repair mortar is to be used. IZOMET^Ò Hold can be used in repairing works, dusty or porous concrete surfaces, under finishing concrete on slabs etc. both new and old concrete surfaces. It’s easy to apply IZOMET^Ò Hold to the existing surface with a brush in 1-2 mm thickness.

IZOMET^Ò Hold is a two component primer system which is factory weighed an packaged so ready for site usage.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

· PREPARATION

The substrate has to be structurally firm and free from oils and chemicals. If not apply proper surface cleaning procedures such as sand blasting, wire brushing, chiseling out of the unsound parts etc. If the reinforcing bars are exposed with rust, they first must be treated by proper methods against corrosion.

· MIXING COMPONENTS

IZOMET^Ò Hold is a two component material and supplied in pre-weighed packs in exact proportions. Slowly add Part A to Part B while stirring. If possible mix all the components with a mechanical mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved.

· APPLICATION

IZOMET^Ò Hold can be applied by roller, brush or trowel. Apply the material as a thin continuos layer at a thickness of 1 mm.

For the best adhesion between layers also be careful about application times (initial hardness time) between the two layer. System must be made as wet-on-wet.

CONSUMPTION

IZOMET^® HOLD is supplied in 7,5 kg pre-weighed packages. Usage is about 1,5 kg/m².

STORAGE

All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures and humidity conditions.

CAUTION

Concrete surfaces must be at least 28 days old.

Substrate temperature must be between +5 - 30°C

All two components should kept away from mouth, eyes, food or drink.

Empty tins must not be used even cleaned by suitable methods.

Because of materials high pH (pH 11-12) value, during application or handling wear gloves or barrier creams. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.

In case of contact with skin immediately clean with warm water and soap.

Do not use below 5°C and/or above 90% humidity.

No other materials should be added.
