DESCRIPTION |
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Steel Primer S/F has
excellent mechanical facilities so it can afford perfect out standing
protection against corrosion and any other atmospheric or environmental
conditions. And also IZOMETÒ Epoxy Steel Primer S/F can
be used for repairing works that made with Izo-BTSÒ Process System as a protection for reinforcing bars.
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Steel Primer S/F is
ideal to protect steel structures such as marine structuress, petrochemical
plants, bridges any structure under affect of corrosive attacks. And also it’s
suitable for repairing of pre-coated steel elements.
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Steel Primer S/F is a
two component coating system which is factory weighed an packaged so ready for site usage and is a blend of
special epoxy resins.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR USE |

PREPARATION
Steel structures should be free from rust,
oil or any foreign materials. If rust isn’t so much manual cleaning could be made
but for the best result sand or grit blast the steel surface to the Swedish
Standard SA 2½.

MIXING COMPONENTS
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Steel Primer S/F is a
three component material and supplied in pre-weighed packs in exact
proportions. If possible mix all the components with a mixer running at less
than 400 rpm to avoid trapping air in mixture.

APPLICATION
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Steel Primer S/F can
be applied by airless spray, roller or brush. During application be careful not
to leave pinholes or breaks in the coating.
For the best adhesion between layers also
be careful about application times (re-coating time) between the two layer.
System must be made as wet-on-wet. Unless blast or emery existing layer.

CURING |
Application can be made between
5°C to 30°C. If application in over temperature places call our technical service for help.
Full cure
takes 7 days.

CLEANING DOWN |
After the application, all hand tools and
other surfaces effected from uncured epoxy resin should be cleaned with Izomet®
Cleaning fluid.

COVERAGE |
IZOMET® Epoxy Steel Primer S/F is
supplied in 5,7 kg pre-weighed
packages. Usage is about 200 g/m² and covers approximately 28 m² area.

STORAGE |
All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under
these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures.
|
CAUTION |
Uncured epoxy resin kept away
from mouth, eyes, food or drink.
Empty tins must not be used
even cleaned by suitable methods.
During application or handling
uncured epoxy resins, wear gloves or barrier creams.
In case of contact with skin
immediately clean with warm water and soap.
Avoid inhaling vapor.
Do not use below 5°C.
No other
materials should be added.
