DESCRIPTION |
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Repair Mortar is used for
repairing cracked or mechanically damaged concrete elements because of earthquake,
corrosion etc. Modulus of elasticity is very close to concert’s modulus of elasticity
so carry loads together with existing concrete. Because of good chemical
resistance, it can be used in repairing sewage pipes, factory floors etc. where
aggressive waste or dilute chemical is present.
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Repair Mortar has three
components (resin + hardener + well granulated special silica aggregates) which
is factory weighed an packaged so ready
for site usage and is a blend of special epoxy resins.
Also pre-packed IZOMETÒ Heavy Duty Primer is
supplied for make better adhesion between concrete and repairing material.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR USE |

SURFACE PREPARATION
All dust and debris should be removed before application. Cracked or
spalled concrete parts should be cleaned by mechanical methods. If needed use
pressure air or sand blasting for better cleaning. Moisture content of
substrate should be less than 5% at least.

MIXING COMPONENTS
If possible mix all the components with a
mixer running at less than 400 rpm to avoid trapping air in material. For
mixing mortar use forced action mixer. Do not use fall mixers.

PRIMING
Only IZOMET®
Heavy Duty Primer is used for priming. Mix resin and hardener until a
uniform consistency is achieved. Apply with stiff brushes or rollers and layer
must be like thin continuous film.

APPLICATION OF REPAIR MORTAR
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Repair Mortar is a
three component material and supplied in pre-weighed packs in exact
proportions.
Mix resin and hardener until a uniform
consistency is achieved. Then add aggregate slowly and continue to mix at least
5 seconds with mechanical mixer.
Mixed mortar should be used before primer
layer reached initial cure (wet-on-wet). Finishing can be made with a steel
trowel but before leveling be sure that mortar is compacted properly.

CURING |
Loading should not be allowed before full
cure (7 days).

CLEANING DOWN |
After the application, all hand tools and
other surfaces effected from uncured epoxy resin should be cleaned with Izomet®
Cleaning fluid.

COVERAGE |
IZOMET® Heavy Duty Primer (1,5 kg pack) : Covers 3-5 m²
IZOMET® Epoxy Repair Mortar (21 kg pack) : Covers 1 m² (for 1 cm thickness)

STORAGE |
All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under
these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures.

CAUTION |
Uncured epoxy resin kept away
from mouth, eyes, food or drink.
Empty tins must not be used
even cleaned by suitable methods.
During application or handling
uncured epoxy resins, wear gloves or barrier creams.
In case of contact with skin
immediately clean with warm water and soap.
Avoid inhaling vapor.
Do not use below 5°C.
No other materials should be
added.
