DESCRIPTION |
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Injection System is
used for repairing cracks caused by earthquake, overloads etc. System can be
used for repairing works of concrete, masonry construction’s load carrying
elements.
IZOMETÒ Epoxy Injection System is a
two component system which is factory weighed an packaged so ready for site usage and is a blend of
special epoxy resins.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR USE |

SURFACE PREPARATION
Concrete element’s moisture
content should be less than 5% at least. All latience and loose materials must
be removed from the crack surface. Existing plaster, paint, gypsum etc. should
be removed from the surface. If needed remove dust by using pressured air (be
sure that air is free of oil or water).

APPLICATION
Drill holes on the way of the crack. Depend
on the sizes of crack, distance between holes should be 20 to 50 cm. After drilling
holes put packer and seal the cracks
surface by using IZOMETÒ Rapid Curing Caulk by using
flat scraper. Injection operation may begin after IZOMETÒ Rapid Curing Caulk is cured.
If possible mix two components with a mixer
running at less than 400 rpm to avoid trapping air in material. Mix resin and
hardener until a uniform consistency is achieved. It takes probably 3 minutes. Then
put the mix to cartridge and begin injection from the lowest packer. This is very
important for vertical cracks, unless the material couldn’t go deep inside to the
crack. Continue injecting until material begins to flow out from upper packer. Then
close the packer and continue injecting from upper packer. This procedure is
repeated for each packer.

CURING |
Curing must be between 10°C - 30°C. Gets full cure after 7 days.

PACKING |
Epoxy
Injection System is packed as 600 cc resin and 300
cc hardener.
The consumption is depend on
cracks sizes an porosity of the substrate.

STORAGE |
All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under
these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures.

CAUTION |
Uncured epoxy resin kept away
from mouth, eyes, food or drink.
Empty tins must not be used
even cleaned by suitable methods.
During application or handling
uncured epoxy resins, wear gloves or barrier creams.
In case of contact with skin
immediately clean with warm water and soap.
Avoid inhaling vapor.
Do not use below 10°C and over 50°C.
No other materials should be
added.
