IZOMETÒ BRM
HB0113 IZOMETÒ Repair Mortar DATA SHEET
Polymer Modified Cement Based Repair Mortar
|
DESCRIPTION |
IZOMETÒ BRM is a polymer modified
cement based repair mortar with high elasticity and adhesion quantities,
containing specially treated quartz sand, high quality Portland cement,
polypropylene and steel fiber reinforcements and special Polymer Dispersions.
Can be applied centimeter (from 1 cm to 10 cm) thickness.
IZOMETÒ BRM is used as a part of Izo-BTSÒ (see the data sheets for more
detail) concrete repairing system. It can be applied both vertically and
horizontally to concrete structures under effect of corrosion. IZOMETÒ BRM can be used for improvement and/or repair works of concrete
properties such as corroded, defective, dusty, highly porous concrete surfaces
etc.. IZOMETÒ BRM may also improve the
corrosion resistance of structural reinforcement.
IZOMETÒ BRM is a two component system which is factory weighed an packaged so ready for site usage.

·
MIXING COMPONENTS
IZOMETÒ BRM is a two component
material and supplied in pre-weighed packs in exact proportions. Slowly add
Part A to Part B while stirring. If possible mix all the components with a
mechanical mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved.
·
APPLICATION
If IZOMETÒ BRM is used for corrosion repairing works, use Izo-BTSÒ (see the data sheets for more detail) concrete repairing system,
firstly remove the corroded concrete. The substrate should be structurally firm
and free from oils and chemicals. if not apply proper surface cleaning methods
such as sand blasting, wire brushing, chiseling out of unsound parts etc.. Then
apply IZOMETÒ HOLD polymer primer to all surface. The mixture of IZOMETÒ BRM can be applied with trowel or plasterer’s float. It applied in layers
of min 10 mm thickness. No other additives, under no circumstances, may be
added to the mortar.
|
CONSUMPTION |
IZOMET® ARM is
supplied in 58 kg pre-weighed packages
(50 kg Part B + 8 kg Part A). Usage is about 20 kg/m² and gives approximately
10 mm thickness.
|
STORAGE |
All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under
these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures and
humidity conditions.
|
CAUTION |
Concrete surfaces must be at
least 28 days old.
Substrate temperature must be
between +5 - 30°C
All two components should kept
away from mouth, eyes, food or drink.
Empty tins must not be used
even cleaned by suitable methods.
Because of materials high pH
(pH 11-12) value, during application or handling wear gloves or barrier creams.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
In case of contact with skin
immediately clean with warm water and soap.
Do not use below 5°C and/or above 90% humidity.
No other materials should be
added.
