DESCRIPTION |
IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond is used for anchor
works such as anchoring bolts, reinforcing bars etc. to concrete, rock or masonry
structures.
IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond can be used for fixing
like foundation bolts, railway tracks, crane rails etc. any application that
needs to gain early high load carrying capacity.
Two different kinds of material can be
supplied for the different applications. IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond Y can be used for
holes in floors (high viscosity graded) and IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond D can be used for
walls and overhead applications (low viscosity graded).
IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond has three
components (resin + hardener + well granulated special silica aggregates) which
is factory weighed an packaged so ready
for site usage and is a blend of special epoxy resins.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR USE |

PREPARATION
Application material (concrete,
stone etc.) should have enough load carrying capacity. All dust and debris should be removed before
application. If needed use pressure air. Drill
holes in suitable sizes and those holes must be free from dust, grease or dirt
and also humidity. Moisture content of substrate should be less than 5% at
least.
If possible mix all the components with a
mixer running at less than 400 rpm to avoid trapping air in material. For
mixing the mortar use forced action mixer. Do not use fall mixers.

APPLICATION
IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond is a three
component material and supplied in pre-weighed packs in exact proportions.
After surface preparations IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond Y can be poured to the hole thoroughly. But IZOMETÒ Anchor-Bond D should be applied by a suitable pump. Start pumping
from the deepest part of hole but avoid to trap air. Then put steel bar or bolt
into the hole carefully. Be careful about not to load anchoring element before
it’s full cure.

CURING |
Application can be made between 5°C to 30°C. If application in over temperature places call our technical service for help. After full cure material
shows resistance to frost and sub-zero temperatures.
Loading should not be allowed before full
cure (7 days).

CLEANING DOWN |
After the application all hand tools and
other surfaces effected from uncured epoxy resin should be cleaned with Izomet®
Cleaning fluid.

EXPENDITURE |
IZOMET® Anchor-bond
is supplied in 3 kg pre-weighed packages
of approximately 1800 cc (resin + hardener + well granulated silica). Average usage
is given for 100 mm depth bonding as cm³ below.

STORAGE |
All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under
these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures.
|
CAUTION |
Uncured epoxy resin kept away
from mouth, eyes, food or drink.
Empty tins must not be used
even cleaned by suitable methods.
During application or handling
uncured epoxy resins, wear gloves or barrier creams.
In case of contact with skin
immediately clean with warm water and soap.
Avoid inhaling vapor.
Do not use below 5°C.
No other materials should be
added.
