IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection

    DESCRIPTION

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection consists of cementitious inorganic products, which are completely compatible with concrete, both physically and chemically. It is not a coating agent but penetrates deep into the concrete and becomes an integral part of the structure.

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection covers the reinforcement as well and provides full protection of concrete against corrosion, freeze-thaw cycle, aggressive sub-soil waters, sea water, carbonates, chlorides, sulphates and nitrates.

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection allows the air passage and enables the concrete to breathe. It also permits water vapor passage and provides waterproofing.

SPECIAL FEATURES

·       Ease of application, labor cost effectiveness

·       Provides a form of cathodic protection

·       Penetrates concrete and becomes a part of it

·       Protects concrete against freeze-thaw cycle and chemical attacks

·       Allows concrete to breathe

·       Non-toxic

·       Increases concrete's compressive strength

    PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Chemical Resistance       : resistant to alkaline/acid condition pH range

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

·       SURFACE PREPARATION

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection is applied on a concrete surface which must be structurally sound and be free from dirt, soil, oil, release agents, latance and any other foreign materials. To obtain maximum chemical penetration, dry surfaces should be wetted prior to the application. Smooth surfaces must be water blasted, sandblasted or acid etched to open capillaries.

·       MIXING

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection is powdered and mixed in exact proportions with water. Prepare the slurry to be applied within 35 minutes. During application stir the mixture frequently.

·         APPLICATION

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection is applied to damp concrete. It can be applied by masonry type brushes, trowels and by spraying. Drop hopper or piston pump is recommended for spraying applications.

After mixing with water, it is applied directly to the concrete surface. It is applied as two coats. Second coat must be applied when first coat is dry to the touch.

Apply IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection in one coat for horizontal concrete surfaces.

    CONSUMPTION

IZOMETÒ Concrete Protection is supplied in 25kg pre-weighed packages. Usage is about 1,4 - 1,6 kg/m² including all two coats.

    STORAGE

All materials should be kept in their tightly closed own packs. Under these conditions shelf life is minimum 12 months at normal temperatures and humidity conditions.

    CAUTION

Concrete surfaces must be at least 28 days old.

Substrate temperature must be between +5 to 30°C

Use rubber gloves during mixing application

Use goggles while spraying and overhead applications

Keep away from mouth, eyes, foods and beverages

In case of contact with skin immediately clean with warm water and soap.

No other materials should be added.
